Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the Websites, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit history data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon in your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. Placement of this icon varies by website browser. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. Registration

In order to use some of our Websites, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). With respect to merchants, and only with consent, periodically we may identify third party products and/or services that you may have an interest in, and we will share your information so that they can provide you with more details about their products and/or services. We may receive compensation arising out of these referrals.

We may disclose your personal information as otherwise permitted or required by law, including furnishing your account history to credit bureaus or to assignees.

We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Websites and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time, our Websites may request information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as zip code and age range). Only you or your authorized agent may make a request related to your Personal Information. If you intend to submit a request on behalf of someone else, we must have on file or you must provide to us appropriate power of attorney, guardian, conservator or trustee document(s) confirming you have the authority to act on behalf of the individual for whom you are submitting the request.  We cannot respond to your request or provide you with Personal Information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to act on another’s behalf. Making a request does not require you to create an account with us, and we will only use Personal Information provided in such a request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.
